NUCLEAR POWER PLANTSHOW DOES IT WORK?

WHERE CAN YOU FIND PLANTS OF THIS SOURCE? The country with more nuclearpower plants is the U.S.A. Spain have got 8 and Netherland1

WHY CAN YOU FIND PLANTS OF THIS SOURCE?

Because you need thenuclear power plantsfor make electricity.

CAN THEY BE USED IN NETHERLANDS?

There is 1 nuclear power plant in

WHY AREN'T THEY USED MUCH IN THE NETHERLANDS?

Because people are against itbecause it is very dangerous.

CAN THEY BE USED IN SPAIN?

There are 8 nuclear powerplants but 1 wasdesactivate the day30/04/2006

WHY CAN THEY BE USED IN SPAIN?

Because they need electricity fortranports and jobs. Are you dependent on other countries/people when you want to generate electricity? It is dependent on other countries because it needs uranium.

How much electricity is generated in one plant? It depends on its reactor. However, the more enriched uranium fission is, the more energy is produce.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this energy source? ADVANTAGES: Nuclear power costs about the same as coal, so it's not expensive to make. It does't produce smoke or carbon dioxide, so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. It produces huge amounts of energy from small amounts of fuel. It produces small amounts of waste.Nuclear power is reliable. DISADVANTAGES: Although not much waste is produced, it is very, very dangerous. It must be sealed up and buried for many thousands of years to allow the radioactivity to die away. For all that time it must be kept safe from earthquakes, flooding, terrorists and everything else. This is difficult. Nuclear power is reliable, but a lot of money has to be spent on safety - if it does go wrong, a nuclear accident can be a major disaster. People are increasingly concerned about this - in the 1990's nuclear power was the fastest-growing source of power in much of the world. In 2005 it was the second slowest-growing.

Is it sustainable? Nuclear power is essentially sustainable. No nuclear power station has yet burnt itself out naturally. What might happen, however, is that governments could decide to end power plant's useful life for security reasons.
