You' ve put no effort at al into creating your powerpoint. It doesn't explain How it works, the order is not logical, the conclusion is nonsens. In your contributions, you´ve did items more than once, but you also forgot things. For instance I miss the advantages and disadvantages and a proper discussion about them. You must improve!



Both, because they are along the western and estern costlines.

Spain is better because we have higher waves so we can produce more energy than the Netherlands.

- What is the effect on the environment?

Corrosion: Protection of metal constructions can be provided up to 30 years and more.

Pollutants: Wave energy companies use big volumes of hydraulic fluids, which may cause a leak of hydro fluid to the ocean.

Other benefits: Does not have any noise pollution, does not generate solid waste or wastewater, does not have any gaseous or CO2 emissions and is totally clean and pollution free.

Coast damage: It is big,so then spoils the landscape and the beach.


Oscillating water column is a type of energy generator with waves;The earliest use of Oscillating Water Columns was in whistling buoys. These buoys used the air pressure generated in the collecting chamber to power a PTO system. J. M. Courtney patented one of these whistling buoy designs.

In 1885 Scientific American reported that 34 of the whistling buoys were operating of the coast of the USA. The next major innovation occurred in 1947 when Yoshio Masuda, a Japanese naval commander designed an OWC navigation buoy that used a turbine PTO system.

Finally OWC are devices that generate energy from the rise and fall of water caused by waves in the ocean. As water rises and falls around and inside an OWC, air is displaced by the water in a collecting chamber and pushed back and forth past a Power-Take-Off (PTO) system. The PTO system converts the airflow into energy.

The wave power pipe:

The wave power pipe is like a snake that have two levers making energy with the wave movement that has a wire that is attached to the wave power pipe energy that pass to a motor to take her out of the water but the wave power pipe not fleet so need a cable to get it because if not would go to anywhere, why it's tied to a very strong cable that has a lot of weight at the end so the wave power pipe no go.

Wave power there are 3 types of machines that produces energy from waves. With the air pressure and with floating blocks and with tubes. I'am going to talk about the floating blocks. You have 2 blocks they float on the waves, its smart because a wave always go from L-R or R-L so first the block on the R/L goes up than the other. It would be stupid if it only where floating blocks because than it would´t produce energy, so the putted poles at blocks that poles are than attached to a rad the rad is attached to dynamo the is the same that is on your bike but than a little bigger :-). the rad turns around because of the waves so there is no burning so its okay for the environment. in europe we need lots of electricity, for our phones, lights, televisions even cars. We get electricity from some fossil fuels and other materials the earth has given us, but after 50 to 100 years we run out of fossi fuels. And what than? We found some other ways to get electricity. With these ways we don´t need to use fossil fuels, and thats wat we want. wave power is one of these ways. with wave power we can get electricity, and we need that, but is wave power a good way to get energy? Thats what we tried to find out during this project.

wave power has effect on the enviroment. the rusted steel or metal gets in the water and it can happen that the oil in the dynamo leaks into the water. cause of that the water gets dirty, so now fish can´t live there anymore. also coral can die caus of this( some fish lay there egs or live i coral) these were the disadvantages of the generators the advantages are : they do not produce any gasses like Co2 so the air does not get polluted and the generators also don´t make much noise cause they don´t use a motor.

We do not run out of ores, but of fossil fuels. You found other ways to generate electricity. Why does the life environment of the fish get destroyed? What gasses do you mean; be more precise.


Where can you find wave power? - Northern Canada - southern africa - united kingdom - New Zealand - Australia - portugal The best wave energy environments are along western coastlines because the most consistent winds come from the west. There are limited wave power opportunities in the East. You can find wave power in the the United Kingdom, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Northern Canada and southern Africa. In portugal the project has started, but is spread out to a lot of countries

Conclusion: We think wave power is a pretty good system of generating power because it works very good but it is bad because it is bad for the environment. Things went well because everybody did their work and they didn´t argue about it. But things also didn´t went well because at first there were some people that didn´t know what they had to do, so that part was a little bit difficult. The first lesson was searching for information about wave power. The second lesson was much clearer because at the start of the lesson we discussed briefly who was going to do what. We did listen to each other so that is one of the reasons why it went well. We think we needed a little bit more time because now we had to hurry a little bit to make some mistakes correct,

Your conclusion is not based upon facts you´ve discussed before. In your conclusion I absolutely do not want to hear anything about your cooperation, only about the use of wave power. Leave that out!
